The family of a young combat Marine is asking for the public's help to catch the person who shot their son in Desert Hot Springs. Corporal Craig Maddy was shot last week in a vehicle on Indian Canyon near I-10.

DESERT HOT SPRINGS — The Marine who was shot in Desert Hot Springs was last week was struck in the back of the head “in cold blood” after a fight in downtown Palm Springs, investigators said Thursday.
